Sharad Pawar
He previously served as the Union Defense Minister,elected
from Baramati, from 1991-93. He has been thrice the chief
minister of Maharashtra, from 1978-80 and 1988-91. His political
career began in the 1967, when he became the member of the
Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He was also the General
Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee, Maharashtra.
From the year 1974-78, he remained the Cabinet Minister
of Education, Agriculture, Industries, Home, Labor and Youth
Welfare in Maharashtra.
Pawan Kumar
Pawan Kumar began his career at Indian Institute of Technology,
Kanpur (IITK) as Operations Manager – Computer CentreIn
1974. He joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to manage
the largest Data Centre in the country. In 1993, Pawan moved
to RPG-Enterprises as Chief Executive of the International
Software Division of its joint venture with Fujitsu of Japan
and ICL of UK. He was instrumental in setting up Fujitsu-ICIM
Software Technology (FIST), Australia. In addition to being
one of the founding Directors of the Board, he was also
the Director of International Computers India Limited, CIM
International Inc., California, USA and Sprint RPG Limited,
India. In 1996, he joined IBM ASEAN and moved to IBM Global
Services India as President.Before vMoksha, Pawan was President
& CEO of DSQ Software Limited. He is also on the Advisory
Committee of Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management,
Pune Institute of Advance Technology and International Institute
of Information Technology, Pune.
Anand Deshpande
Dr. Anand Deshpande is the Founder and Managing Director
of Persistent Systems. He obtained his B. Tech. in Computer
Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and his M. S.
and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University, Bloomington,
where he worked on implementations of nested relational
databases. After a short stint in Hewlett-Packard Laboratories,
Palo Alto, California, he returned to India to establish
Persistent Systems. Over the last 11 years Dr. Deshpande
has been active in the database community in India.
Saurabh Shrivastava
Mr. Saurabh Srivastava has over 30 years of experience in
the information technology industry in USA, India, UK and
Singapore. During this period, his responsibilities have
covered virtually all facets of the industry; marketing,
software development, corporate planning and general management.
He has worked for leading international companies such as
IBM and Unisys and is currently chairman of Xansa. On the
international front, Mr. Srivastava is the Chairman of International
Informatics Solutions Inc., USA, on the Board of FI Group
PLC., UK, International Informatics Solutions, Ltd., UK,
and Infotech Solutions Pte. Ltd., Singapore. He was one
of the founders and now Chairman Emeritus of the National
Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).
He has been on the Executive Committee of the Federation
of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and
the National Council of Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII), the two apex chambers of commerce in India.
Dilip Cherian

Ganesh Natrajan
Ganesh Natarajan is Deputy Chairman and Managing Director
of Zensar Technologies Limited, a Global Software Services
firm that provides Consulting and Software services across
eighteen countries.
Ganesh has been one of the most successful professionals in
the Indian Information Technology Industry, having earlier
been part of two major success stories in IT Training and
Consulting, NIIT and APTECH. A Gold Medallist in Mechanical
Engineering and Industrial Engineering, Ganesh has had extensive
experience in Manufacturing, Consulting and Training and is
the author of two McGraw Hill Books on Business Process Reengineering
and one on Knowledge Management. He was the Chairman of CII's
Maharashtra Council for 2002-03.
Ganesh is the current Chairman of CII's National Outsourcing
Conclave and Chairman of the CII Forum of IT and IT Enabled
Services CEOs for Western India. He is also a Charter member
of TiE, a member of NASSCOM's Executive Council for 2003-05
and Chairman of the SME Forum of NASSCOM for Western India.
Ashok Khosla
Mr. Ashok Khosla is Chairman and CEO of TARAhaat Information
and Marketing Services Pvt Ltd (TARAhaat.com), the Internet
portal aimed at sustainable development of rural India.
Earlier, was Director of the Office of Environment, Government
of India and responsible for setting up the first national
environmental agency in the developing world. Subsequently
was Director, INFOTERRA in the United Nations Environment
Programme, in charge of the design and implementation of
the global environment information system. Consultant to
the World Bank, United Nations, GEF and various other inter-governmental
and government agencies, and Special Advisor to the Brundtland
Commission.
Ashok Khosla graduated from Cambridge University and received
his doctorate in experimental physics from Harvard University.
He lectured at Harvard on physics, astronomy and environment.
Held several corporate positions concurrently.
Leela Poonawala
Leela Poonawala is a former Chairman and Managing Director of Alfa Laval and is a leading Women Entrepreneur.
She has been actively engaged in supporting women entrepreneurs.
Leela Poonawala was appointed on the high-level task force on bio-technology. The task force would primarily look into opportunities and potential for investment in bio-technology, the likely growth in this sector and the need for a special policy for an "hassle-free" environment. The government's decision to form such a task force is a follow-up of the recently announced new industrial and labour policy.
