Shashi Ullal
Shashi Ullal is Chairman of Digital Partners India. Shashi
Ullal is one of the IT personalities associated with IT
since its inception. He was President and Managing
Director of HECL till 2001, when he was made the Vice
chairman, which position he held untill he retired in
April,2002. Ullal’s longest stint with an IT
company has been around 19 years with IBM. His other major
assignments include country Marketing Manager, DCM Data
Products and Vice President, Hewlett-Packard Division of
Blue Star Ltd. Prior to HECL, he was Director on the
Boards of Modi Olivetti and Alcatel Modi.
He was on the Telecom committees of the three Trade
bodies until 2001.In 2001,ASSOCHAM elected him as the
Chairman of the Telecom Convergence Committee, which he
relinquished in August,2002.Currently,he is a member of
that Committee.
Apart from these, Ullal has also been a speaker for the
industry. He was also a member of the National IT Council
of the CII.
Satish Jha
Satish is one of the founders of Tarahaat that has been
acknowledged as one of the pioneering models in using ICTs
for Development He started the Baramati Initiatives in 2001
with the support of M Kusakabe of The World Bank and Sharad
Pawar, a former chief minister of Maharashtra who has turned
his constituency of Baramati as a model of development.
Baramati Initiatives is an annul event and is now jointly
organized by Digital Partners India and Baramati Institute

Dorothy Gordon
Dorothy Gordon, the Chair at Digital Partners Ghana, has
over 20 years of experience as a development practitioner
in Africa and Asia. In addition to her current development
work she also lectures on non-profit management at the Ghana
Institute of Management and Public Administration. She serves
on a number of boards including that of the International
Society for Third Sector Research (www.istr.org). Her academic
background includes an MPhil from the Institute of Development
Studies, Sussex.
